Well, here I am 2 months later!! I have been really bad about updating this blog...I enjoy posting pictures of the girls, but time gets away from me :) Oh well, I will try to be better in the future! Anyway, Jade has celebrated her 1st birthday a few weeks ago...at grandmas house! She doesn't look any older, but her intensity level is dialing down a little, so that has been nice! In the bottom picture she was "helping me" make the bed. As you can see...we weren't getting very far! She loves to sleep with us at night...and usually we invite her to stay, but other times we make her keep Tess company on the floor. A 70lb dog in your bed can be a lot sometimes...but usually she is pretty good. Tess has been Tess, a grand dog who lives to play ball!! The top picture is one of her lounging on the couch with mom! On certain days she can jump up on the couch with a little coaxing, but usually she is pretty happy right next to you on the floor. She has kept her weight off over the winter, which was reassuring for us. She weighed in at 77lbs a few months ago...right where she should be. She is feeling much better...even dogs do better with a little extra weight gone! We have been going for walks a few times a week, which the girls LOVE and any trip in the car is a little slice of heaven for these 2. We even visited daddy at the police station one night on our way home from grandmas. They are really GREAT girls. We have even been privliging Jade out of her crate while we are gone. The girls stay gated in the laundry room, but not confined to their crates. And even on short trips out, we leave them in the front of the house and haven't come home to anything but warmed spots on the couch! They are good sleepers! Sorry for the long time span, I hope this lengthen post will give you your dog fix for the time being. Now that it is nice out...we will be outside more, so more pictures to follow for the summertime. take care :)
