Sharing!

Yes, this is an actual picture...nothing superimposed :) They were sleeping in the same crate the other evening. The girls have been getting along very well. Jade is getting bigger and bigger...she is almost as long as Tess!! They still love to take each other's toys though. Jade knows her name very well now, but still listens for it selectively :) She has developed a "fun game" of knowing exactly what she shouldn't have, grabbing it, and running like a mad woman away from you. I don't need the tredmill after I run after Jade collecting all the socks I just matched out of the dryer :)

Patience

Yep, my patience has been tested these last few days. I don't know if it is just that I have been more tired lately with work or what, but the girls have really been a bear! Between the not listening very well, or the constant biting and stealing of toys. I know these are puppy things and Tess is just trying to keep the upper hand...but I have been on the verge of tears many, many times. and while these bells on the back door for Jade to go outside are a true blessing, they are a nuisance in the same sentence. We could have just gone outside and she is ringing them again! And again and again! Sigh, of course right now she is sleeping on my feet, the little stinker! Lets hope it is just a phase...I don't know if my nerves can take much more.

All wet!

Here's the munchkin all wet. She's getting so big :) And looking more and more like Tess! I still think she has to be part pitbull with the death grip she has on toys...my oh my!

Splish Splash

Here they are, playing in the pool!! Jade gets energized by the water. She jumps around in it for a few minutes then takes off like the rocket around the backyard, under the deck, then back to the pool. It's rather humorous :) Tess enjoys lounging in the pool. I will go up front to get the mail and when I return she is just laying around, splashing the water. The only problem is that it takes Tess a few days to dry, a towel doesn't do anything. The water is magnetized to her fur. Jade dries off in a matter of minutes. That is another thing I will miss about her puppy fur :)

Home Again!

We all made it home :) Jason and I went up to Michigan to see his grandparents for the weekend, so the girls were away from home too. Jade lucked out and spent the weekend with a another lab puppy about 3 weeks older than her and they had a ball! She has come back with more spunk than when she left (help us!). Tess spend the weekend at Katie's parents. They love having her come :) Tess even played some in their pond...not as much as we thought she might. She has discovered their pond the last few times we have visited and it can be hard to keep her away from the water. Her new thing here at home is to lay in the kiddie pool and splash around...trying to keep the puppy out, but never really successful :) All in all everyone made it home safe and sound. I think we all needed a little "break" from everyday life!
